Where we started....
|
Through The Wardrobe was first started in 2000 to fill the lack of affordable, professional acting classes in the area. Inspired by C S Lewis' famous children's book, we use our own unique technique of going 'Through The Wardrobe' in our classes to use imagination to spark creativity. Nicki founded Through The Wardrobe after settling in Gerrards Cross having given up her successful dance and choreography career to start her family. TTW quickly became incredibly popular due to its affordable yet professional classes and the performance opportunities available to TTW members - something we're still passionate about today.
Nicki no longer teaches TTW classes (although she can often be spotted helping backstage at shows!) and her classes are now run by her daughter, Ella. Ella has always had a passion for acting and performing and was lucky enough to perform onstage at Her Majesty's Theatre and The Royal Albert Hall with TTW as a teenager. Ella's passion for acting has manifested in a passion for teaching at TTW and in particular, for writing and directing all TTW productions. Ella trained in script writing RADA and regularly takes opportunities for further acting training to help TTW students. |
