WOW! What an incredible summer term & entire year we've had at Through The Wardrobe! We've spent this term focussing on building technique and acting skills and have seen wonderful improvements across every single class.
Our members have had the chance to flex their performance skills this year. Our 'Wonderland' and 'Trapped' productions at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre were both fantastic. Our National Theatre Connections cast performed to a director from the National Theatre and then transferred their play to the Wycombe Swan and were even visited by the playwright! Our TTW Singers performed an excellent showcase for their friends and family with many singing alone for the very first time. We also entered a few members to the National Youth Monologue Competition and received 'commended' and 'shortlisted' results out of 4000 entries! And finally 96 TTW members have taken LAMDA exams this year and have (so far) achieved 100% Distinctions (July results still pending).
Our 'Harry Potter' summer workshops are almost completely fully booked so grab a space soon if you want one! We have exciting plans for next year at TTW and cannot wait to continue working with our members to build their confidence, boost their performance skills and produce exciting productions!

SINGING LESSONSOur musical theatre singing lessons have been a huge success this year. We are opening up further space for singing lessons on SATURDAYS in September - email us if you'd like to trial singing

TTW members have been busy over the last few months filming for some very exciting projects including the new Harry Potter series; The new Beatles movies; Ebenezer with Johnny Depp and more! It's lovely that our members get the chance to work on a professional film set!
29 TTW Teen members successfully auditioned to be part of our National Theatre Connections Cast and worked on a brand new piece of writing commissioned by the National Theatre. They received feedback from a professional director and then transferred their production to the Wycombe Swan where the playwright came to watch and offer feedback too!

Eleven of our TTW Teens have been entered for the National Youth Monologue Competition in March. They had to learn a monologue and film it to submit to the competition. 4000 young people from across the UK entered so we were THRILLED that 6 of our entrants were 'Commended' by the judges and 1 was added to the Regional Shortlist too! Well done!
2025/2026 LAMDA RESULTS
Oct - 9 Distinctions - top mark 87% Dec - 24 Distinctions - top mark 96% Feb - 18 Distinctions - top mark 97% May - 23 Distinctions - top mark 90% July - 23 entrants - results pending! Our next LAMDA sessions will take place in the Autumn term - do let us know if you're keen for your child to take an exam |
Coming up at TTW....
THEATRE TRIP - We have tickets to the HIGHLY anticipated new version of High School Musical coming to the Troubadour Theatre in December - details for this will follow in September!

AGENCY SIGNUP - We will be organising a headshot and signup day for our affiliated agency - Ann Koska Agency. Details for this will be sent once we have a confirmed date

2027 SHOW DATES - We have two confirmed dates at The Kenton Theatre, Henley for our 2027 productions. Dates: Saturday 13th March & Sunday 21st March (your child will only be needed for ONE show date). We will confirm dates for each class in the Autumn.

September Venue Change!
The church hall at St Josephs is being demolished & rebuilt over the summer and so we will be in a new venue from September. We're currently finalising dates with new venues but these will be in Chalfont St Peter and/or Gerrards Cross. Once St Josephs Hall is rebuilt we'll have a beautiful modern hall as our new home!
